    Hey guys, I am looking for suggestions on searching large areas, using rope(s), tools, other personal, anything. I need tactics or procedures that I may introduce into my fire station. Any lesson plans or ideas would really be appreciated guys. Thanks and never stop training.

    Kel, I hope by now you are having better luck with your doors.  You do have to stay on top of the cleaning and I lean towards a little wax for lubricating them   I don't know what your weather is like there but ours can get cold enough to give you problems.  It's a bad feeling getting somewhere and finding out that your doors ...

    Doesn't this really come down to training, good SOP's and common sense.  The booster line is just another tool in the box.  It shouldn't matter if you have 1 or 10 mounted on your apparatus as long as it's used correctly.  Booster lines are not structural attack lines and should never be used as such.  They do have a place in ...

    Spencer,  PPV can work very well for you.  It is our preffered method but not the only one in our tool box.  It works best when you can control where the smoke and heat exit, this allows you to control fire spread and limit smoke damage.  When this method is timed right it's a sweet thing.  It's way kewl to have the ...
