I'm sure this has already been talked about and I missed it. But I was wondering what other department's experience with CAFS on structure fires is?
1. If you have it how do you like it?
2. If you like it, what type of nozzles do you use with it? (smoothbore vs. fog) or do you use a smoothbore/fog nozzle combo?
3. How do your nozzle techniques change when using CAFS on an interior attack fire.
We have one CAFS engine. Some swear by it and some hate and say bubbles don't put fire out, water does. I've seen vidoes of CAFS making some good knockdown on large fires using just tank water. The majority of our structure fires 1-2 room fires, and we really haven't seen a difference between water and CAFS.
